Oklahoma Bingo

Oklahoma has for a long time been analogous with Bingo. That is because the American Indian bands of Oklahoma have operated Bingo sessions for many years. Clients from each of the surrounding states load up in autos and travel into Oklahoma to enjoy Bingo on the weekends.

The 1988 IGRA became law after a precedent setting determination by The U.S. Supreme Court just the prior year. Since that instance, twenty three of the thirty nine Native tribes of Oklahoma have introduced gaming halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma Native band to take advantage of the gaming rules, and at this time control 10 gambling dens of their own. Bingo was the game on which these gambling dens were built on. Electronic games like slot machine games were not allowed, due to the fact that they are thought to contribute to gambling addiction at a higher rate than bingo.

In recent years, Oklahoma rules has changed to permit enormous American Indian gaming gambling dens. You'll now find Amerindian gambling dens with slots, video poker and blackjack tables. Craps and roulette are not yet legal in the Native casinos yet, but that is just a waiting game. No one can say what having different gambling den games in the bingo houses will do for the popularity of bingo.
